Grotto Falls

A place like no other, The Grotto is the crown jewel of The Source property. This cave-like rock formation features the majestic Grotto Falls that gush down to the moss covered stone floor, creating a mist for the surrounding ferns. An impressive forest canopy hangs over the Grotto, like a living cathedral ceiling.

A site to behold is when the Grotto stone walls become adorned with jewel-like glow worms at nigh that will leave you in awe of Mother Nature’s magic.

Fairy Tree Falls

Following the meandering paths of The Source may feel like a walk through a magical forest. But wait till you take the shy little path off the main track, leading you down the earthy steps to a beautiful old tree that’ll surely bring to life your childhood imaginings of a Fairy Tree by a crystal stream.

Just nearby, this stream cascades 15 or so meters down through little rock pools to the valley floor. Pause here on the little bridge atop this waterfall and inhale all the wonder only fairies could have created.

Tanybryn Falls

Over 50 meters high, Tanybryn Falls is the most significant waterfall at The Source, and has been sought after by many nature enthusiasts and photographers exploring the remarkable Otways region. The fulness of Tanybryn Falls is best observed from the top of the opposite gully bank.

However, what you’re likely to enjoy even more is splashing around and picnicking at the purpose built Pavilion suspended over the crystal clear creek, before it drops as Tanybryn Falls.

M&M Falls

Just like the two young brothers, Matisse and Milan, who discovered this sweet cascade on one of their explorations on the property, it’s sweet and endearing. Located deep in the gully, M&M falls in not an easy but a worthwhile find on your waterfall chasing adventure.
